The Construction of a warehouse in Nangodi in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region under the ‘One-District-One-Warehouse’ policy by government is progressing steadily.
It also forms part of the implementation of the warehouse component of government’s Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme, IPEP.
The provision of basic infrastructure, including warehouses, markets, water systems and sanitation facilities, are part of the mandate of IPEP.
The purpose of these warehouses, to be constructed across the country is to handle farm produce, as well as store the anticipated surpluses under the “Planting for Food and Jobs programme.
The project is being supervised by the Ministry for Special Development Initiatives.
The District Chief Executive for Nabdam, Agnes Anamoo and her entourage paid a working visit to the construction site.
