Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir has extended cease fires in two conflict-hit states, where protest leaders have pushed for anti-government rallies.
Addressing supporters in South Kordofan state, Mr. Bashir said his top priority is ending fighting which erupted in 2011.
Addressing hundreds of cheering supporters during a televised rally, President al-Bashir said he would go to any length to bring peace.
Since June 2016, Mr. Bashir has declared several unilateral cease fires in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile, bringing relative calm to the three war-torn states
