The Ghanaian Times makes reference to a media engagement on COVID-19 where it was revealed that the pandemic is likely to trigger mental issues considering the stigma COVID-19 patients are subjected to. The papers cites examples of people who have lost their livelohoods due to the pandemic and cannot find ways out of their harsh conditions and those whose livelihoods have survived but are unable to make ends meet due to extreme poverty. It says these can easily cause mental illness hence the need to integrate psychological support systems to take care of the mental health of COVID-19 victims while the pandemic rages on and even after it is gone.

The Daily Graphic is of the firm belief that Ghana will not be able to develop globally in the competitive agricultural and industrial enterprise if the country does not mobilise scientific knowledge and technical expertise in the field. To achieve this, the Paper urges government planners to set funding priorities to support entrepreneurs to use technology to grow their businesses. The Graphic also urges universities to work closely with the private sector to modernize agriculture and agribusiness as well as undertake problem-oriented research to support community needs.
