The Daily Graphic is optmistic that consultations are going on well as the Electoral Commission uses the opportunity to inform the people on its current activities and outlook for the future. The paper is overwhelmed at the confidence expressed by the EC during their visits to the three former presidents on their ability to conduct free, fair and credible elections. The paper thinks the testimony of these three Ghanaian former leaders should give the people assurance that the EC will see to the interest of all parties and must accord the officials the support and respect that they deserve in carrying out their mandate. The Daily Graphic therefore implores the EC to take constructive criticisms in good faith and use them to improve on their operations for the benefit of the country’s democracy.

The Ghanaian Times is particularly concerned about poor quality of ICT services that are militating against the two major registration exercises, the National Identification exercise for the issuance of the Ghana Card and the Limited Voters’ Registration that just ended. According to the paper, a number of people have not been able to register in the limited voters’ registration due to the challenges of the system which has to do with poor internet connectivity and as a result has called for the extension of the limited voter’s registration. The paper urges stakeholders in the ICT industry to endeavour to find lasting solution to the challenges facing the application of ICT in the country, for enhanced service delivery. The Times asks the Electoral Commission to consider the appeals for the extension of the limited voters’ registration for qualified Ghanaians to get registered.
