The Daily Graphic calls on stakeholders to join the drive in reviving the Tema Oil Refinery. It says the effort to revive the company will amount to naught if the workers continue to create the impression that nothing good can come out of the company. The paper says doing this will court bad publicity for the company at a time it is searching for investors and partners. The Graphic says the workers should know that when the refinery is revived and recapitalized, as is being pushed by the current management they will be the first beneficiaries. The paper, therefore, says it is time the company prioritizes harmony and for workers to put their shoulders to wheel as a sign of their commitment to the effort to return honor to Tema Oil Refinery.

The Ghanaian Times commends the International Finance Corporation, IFC for its investment of two billion dollars in the Ghanaian economy and government for its efforts to develop the private sector. It says it is happy that the government has put in a clear plan for economic recovery which enables the Corporation to come in as a partner to support the private sector to create jobs for the people. However, the paper charges the government to ensure that the money will be used for its intended purpose as there are often allegations of diversion and misappropriation of funds meant for certain projects. It is in this view that the Ghanaian Times believes that although the IFC’s investment is a loan to the country, its trust must not be betrayed.
