The Daily Graphic pledges its support to policies that aim at improving professionalism in teaching. The paper says the Teacher Licensure programme introduced by government which affords prospective teachers the opportunity to receive their license as pivotal in ensuring professionalism in the sector. It says the purpose of the Teacher Licensure is to bring teachers at par with international standards and provide a level playing ground for teachers in Ghana to compete with their counterparts globally. The Graphic recognizes opposition to the policy by some groups calling for it to be abolished. It says such a move will amount to the reversal of progress made and cause financial loss to the state.

The Ghanaian Times believes the election of Alban Bagbin as Speaker of Parliament would be an end to the politicization of national issues where everything from the Executive over the course of the fourth republic is approved all together. The paper says the minority caucus over the years have always raised red flags about deals that come before them though concerns have been raised by the majority sides and governments. With the opposition in the hot seat, the Ghanaian Times expects every controversial deal put before the house to be properly scrutinized to ensure the interest of the country is served. The paper however wishes the Speaker uses his experience to spearhead the lawmaking process in the house and concerns of the country prioritized without political mischief.
