The Ghanaian Times says perhaps the most befitting memory in honour of the late former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan, is for the world to continue to realise the goals of humanity to eradicate poverty, ensure social inclusiveness and protection of the planet for sustainable development. The paper says it was clear from the works of Kofi Annan that the global community can set targets and work together in earnest to achieve set goals. It is the fervent hope of the Times that at his demise and as he journeys the world would continue to pursue his legacy and cherished values to promote social inclusive societies toward sustainable development
The Daily Graphic is concerned about the impasse between the Auditor General and the board of the audit service. This is because the two are very vital institutions that must not be allowed to crash due to personal matters. The paper does not understand why the two offices must have work misunderstandings since duties of the two have been clearly spelt out by law. It urges President Akufo-Addo to act swiftly in the matter by addressing the petition from both sides carefully so that citizen’s trust in the audit service is not ruined.
