The Daily Graphic calls for more engagements and enhanced public education to get majority of the people to understand the forthcoming referendum on the election of MMDCE’s. It lauds the idea of giving power to the citizenry to elect their Chief Executives as it will deepen accountability and good governance at the local units. This is where all stakeholders including Civil Society Organisation can get involved to make the national exercise successful. The paper commends President Akufo-Addo for agreeing to shed some of his powers by initiating the process, the EC for its preparation towards the day and the NDC for its activism to make nuances of the initiative better. The Graphic proposes an effective collaboration to address any challenges left for a successful referendum come December 17.

The Ghanaian Times entreats the Judicial Service Staff Association and the Judicial Service management and National Labour Commission, to quit the war of press releases and return to the table. It says the parties should find a lasting solution to the salary issue.
