The Ghanaian Times calls on government to support the generation of solar energy to provide electricity to reduce pressure on the hydro system. The Paper says environmental degradation and climatic change portend bad days ahead for the hydro source of power due to low levels of water in dams. It says solar energy is more economical, therefore, the cost involved in it should not prevent its utilization. The Times suggests that government should think of generating the hydro-solar hybrid system on a large scale, so that many people will use solar during the day and fewer people can use hydro at night.

The Daily Graphic commiserates with parents who lost their children to the Apam sea. While the paper does not intend to remind parents of the tragic incident, it points out bluntly that the incident happened due to weak supervision of the children or lack of it. It says children will always be children thus it is time parents and guardians pay particular attention to them. The paper notes that when parents neglect to do that, they will always bear the consequences of their inaction. The Graphic says the incident is a clarion call on parents to be there for their children always and not to renege on their responsibilities.
