The Ghanaian Times adds its voice to the need for massive participation in the political activities of the country. The paper expresses concern at the electoral processes of registering citizens, to enable people to cast their ballots in an atmosphere of peace and security since that will engender a very strong political culture in the country towards deepening democratic governance and political accountability.

The Times finds it refreshing that the Electoral Commission has taken swift action to abide by the decision of the Supreme Court after it ruled that the EC should go ahead to conduct the limited voters’ registration. It therefore encourages people who have attained the voting age of 18 years to take advantage of the exercise which starts today.

The paper also urges the EC to make all logistics needed for the limited voter’s registration to its officials, and cooperate with the security agencies to ensure a peaceful exercise.

The Daily Graphic celebrates those it calls the real fathers who have made an indelible impact in the lives of their children and families. Fathering according to the paper goes beyond providing for protecting, guiding and disciplining children. Real Fathers the paper notes need to get involved in daily care work.

It calls on fathers who have shirked their responsibilities to reconsider their stance as their actions and inaction will cost them the respect and love they deserve from their children.
