The Ghanaian Times commends government for responding to calls by workers to transfer their Tier Two Pension monies which were locked up at the Bank of Ghana into the accounts of their fund managers. The Paper says the transfer of the funds would pave the way for a smooth and efficient payment of the Tier Two pension benefits to beneficiaries from next year. The Times therefore applauds government for this feat, and hopes that retirees would benefit to make their retirement meaningful. In view of this, the Paper looks forward to an amicable resolution of all other outstanding issues on the Temporary Pension Fund Accounts.

The Daily Graphic congratulates the Ghana Journalists Association on its 70th anniversary, and also calls for an introspection. The paper said the leadership of the GJA has over the years contributed to the success of the Association. The paper however believes that the leaders can do more for the members and by extension journalism in the country. The Graphic therefore appeals to the GJA to liaise with well known global brands to get quality work tools for journalists and media houses at competitive prices to enhance their operations.
