The Ghanaian Times calls on Ghanaians not to allow the Badu Nkansah textbooks incident to undermine the unity and harmony among the various ethnic groups in the country. The paper appeals to the wronged party to accept the apology rendered by the publishing company and resolve not to make reference to the incident for partisan purposes or to inflame emotions. The paper reminds authors and publishers to scrutinize their works to avoid readers and listeners from reacting to remarks made against any ethnic group. The scrutiny, the paper says, is a safety net for publishers to save them from backlash and cost of reprinting.

The Daily Graphic lauds First National Bank Ghana for supporting the pharmaceutical industry with a set of products which are intended to meet the credit needs of players in the sector. The paper says it is high-time financial institutions, government and regulators came together to help grow Ghana’s pharmaceutical industry which is playing a vital role in this COVID era. It therefore calls on the relevant stakeholders to invest in the pharmaceutical industry so that Ghana becomes a net exporter of drugs and medicines instead of always relying on imported medications which can be produced locally. The Graphic believes the investment will also provide an opportunity for the locally made vaccines in the shortest possible time and save the country a lot of money which otherwise would have been used to import drugs.
