The Daily Graphic says the continuous indiscipline on the Accra-Tema Motorway does not augur well for the country. The paper says it has observed that a lot of illegal by-passes and U-turns have been sealed off, but some motorists still try to create new ones to have easy access. This, it believes possess danger to unsuspecting approaching vehicles. The Graphic advises the Police to step up their game by constantly patrolling the motorway to apprehend offenders and fining the culprits to deter others.

The Ghanaian Times commends Ghana for making a stride in Human Development Index, ranking 138 out of the 189 countries surveyed. The paper notes the HDI is touted as the most reliable and credible tool used in keeping track of the level of a country’s socio-economic development. The paper says the calculation of the HDI was based on  four major indicators: Life Expectancy, Expected years of schooling, mean of years of schooling for education and Gross National Income for standard of living. It says the Ghana’s Gross National Income, GNI, per capital leap-frogged from 2,315 in 1990 to 6,269 in 2019. The 2019 report of the HDI ranked Ghana 142. The Times advises that though according to the HDI report, the Country’s health education and standard of living have improved, there is the need for the country to work harder to sustain the record or even achieve higher going into the future.
