The Daily Graphic commends the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) for introducing an electronic database to vehicle owners who register their vehicles. This is to prevent fraud in the system and the security of documentation while making it possible for biometric features to be introduced to link owners to their vehicles. The paper believes the efficiency of this service will make customers pay their user fees and the taxes the state institute for collection by DVLA. It urges the authority to focus on the reforms it has started as well as introduce a robust system to secure the database.

The Ghanaian Times commends government for deepening local governance with the creation of new districts. The paper is hopeful that the intended purpose  for the creation of the new districts will be achieved, adding that in the nomination of Chief Executives to lead the new districts, the focus should be on individuals with visionary leadership qualities rather than those who see it as an opportunity to satisfy their personal needs. The Times calls on people in the earmarked areas to rally behind their Chief Executives and contribute through payment of property rates among others, for their own development.
