The Ghanaian Times says the launch of the Ghana Building Code in Accra yesterday (November 31), by the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia comes as good news to operators in the building and construction industry. The paper is happy the Code touches on all aspects of the building industry. It says the launch has come at a time some disasters have been encountered in the industry, leading to the destruction of lives and property as well as displacement of people due to the collapse of their buildings as well as fire outbreaks in homes and offices.
