GHANAIAN TIMES shares the anxiety among some Ghanaians as to measures expected in the Mid-Year Budget Review. The paper calls for measures that will lead to sustained stabilisation of the economy and place it on the path of resilient growth. It is the expectation of the Times that the Mid-Year Budget Review will also help consolidate the relatively economic gains in order to create more wealth and prosperity for all. The paper agrees with the Trade Union Congress on the need for managers of the economy to translate the touted macroeconomic gains into visible improvements in the living conditions of Ghanaians. The Times concludes that a reselient economy that meets the aspirations of the ordinary Ghanaian is what is needed.
