The Ghanaian Times says the Office of the Special Prosecutor needs to be well resourced to combat corruption. The paper finds it difficult to explain why a whopping GH¢13.8 billion should be lost yearly through corruption yet government is unable to resource the outfit charged to fight the canker. It says the figures being bandied about as having been looted are frightening.

The Daily Heritage calls for jail terms to be handed down to sanitation offenders to serve as a deterrent to others. The paper says it appears the current system of imposition of fines on petty traders and shop keepers is not punitive enough therefore a jail term will whip harder.
