The Daily Graphic congratulates the NDC on organising a successful presidential primary and finds it welcoming that already both the victor and losers have extended goodwill messages to one another and they seem to be looking at the bigger national interest. The Graphic is satisfied that all the losing candidates have pledged their commitment to the cause of the party and its new leader. Now that all is over and the party has come out of the exercise peacefully and showed clear direction, it is time to heal the wounds as well as positon the party strongly to play its role in the good governance process. This is an essential requirement to help deepen democracy in the country.
The Ghanaian Times joins the long queue of those yearning for the disbandment of the vigilante groups and add its voice to the call for a meeting to work towards ending political vigilantism in the country. The Paper says, it is going to follow keenly the call by President opportunity Addo for the two major Parties to meet as early as this week and urged them to seize the opportunity to dialogue and deal with the menace once and for all. The Times however hopes the two parties would attach all seriousness to the matter and openly discuss it for a suitable solution to be found. It uses all to seize the opportunity to end one of the most dangerous cankers threatening the peace and the stability of the Country.
