The two national dailies, The Daily Graphic and Ghanaian Times discuss on the election of a new President for the Ghana Football Association and the way forward.

The Daily Graphic applauds all six Presidential candidates for making anti-corruption, strict adherence to ethics and good corporate governance the pillar of their campaigns. The Graphic commends the candidates for availing themselves for the unprecedented presidential debates where their policies were scrutinised. According to the paper, these are positive signs of a new chapter for Ghana Football that will help improve its image.

The Ghanaian Times hopes the candidates will accept the outcome to restore normalcy to Ghana Football. The Times calls on losers of the election to support whoever is elected President to steer the affairs of the FA. It says Ghana Football is at the cross-roads and believes unity is required to guide the Association.

The Daily Heritage blames the collapse of several marriages in the country on some persons parading themselves as men of God and appeals to the clergy to step in to save marriages. According to the paper, there were more than 600 thousand marriages divorce cases last year and attributes it to churches whose leaders accuse family relatives of witchcraft and other evil pronouncements. It calls on the clergy to ensure that the situation does not get out of hand.
