The paper further pledges to ensure transparency and accountability in governance by providing relevant information to educate and empower the people for effective participation in democracy and development process. At last Saturday’s 70th Anniversary Ball of the Daily Graphic, President Akufo-Addo challenged the media to help eliminate fake news because of its propensity to cause disruptions, even in harmonious societies. The Graphic says it takes the President’s call very seriously, since it is a duty on which one should not compromise in the important function of editorial oversight.
