The Daily Graphic urges all Ghanaians to actively participate in the upcoming 2021 Population Census which seeks to ensure a comprehensive coverage of Ghanaians for decision making and policy planning. The paper finds the slogan for this year’s exercise “you count, get counted “most apt, as it will enable the country have an accurate data on its population and housing for development. The Daily Graphic however,  condemns the tendency to politicize such activities which are meant to benefit the nation. It is of the view that engagements with key stakeholders through sensitization will lead to the successful implementation of the programme census. The paper calls on religious bodies to use their platforms to encourage their congregants to take part in the exercise.

The Ghanaian Times lauds the Ghana Water Company, for its decision to carry out a survey to determine the level of encroachment on water ways and also liaise with Assemblies concerned to free the network for supplying water to the public. The paper says officials who fail to prevent construction of building on pipelines should be imprisoned and their property confiscated to serve as a deterrent to others. It says it is about time the state enacted special laws to deal with such cases.
