The Daily Graphic says the use of drugs among students at the Junior High and Senior High levels is distressing. A report by the consultative committee to combat drug menace in schools has observed that there is a high risk of substance abuse in first and second cycle schools. The Graphic believes if the study had been extended to the tertiary level, the country would have had a much more disheartening report. It says, the nation cannot and should not be happy with the findings of the committee that was set up by President Akufo-Addo to identify the sources and causes of drug use nationwide. The Graphic says pressure of work has kept many families apart from their children. To the paper, this is compounded by the breakdown of the extended family system. It therefore urges stakeholders to come on board to protect the future of the country since the children are the future of the nation.

The Ghanaian Times calls on government and other stakeholders to help boost the tourism sector to benefit the country and its people. It notes that the minister nominee for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dr Mohammed Awal during his vetting said he will make tourism the number one contributor to the (GDP) from the fourth spot currently in the next four years, should he be given the green light the minister. The paper says even though the target may seem ambitious, it believes  every minister of state should actualize his or her vision for the sector they preside over  using strategies that can foster the country’s development.
