The Daily Graphic commends the Technical University Teachers Association of Ghana, TUTAG for calling off its strike. The paper asks government, the lecturers and workers to consider the fact that they signed a social contract with the students and avoid using them as bait especially after they fulfill their part of the contract by paying their school fees. The Graphic thinks the country is rather becoming used to strikes before doing the needful. It, therefore, calls on agencies mandated to ensure the right things are done to be up and doing, and not to allow things go out of hand before taking actions. The Paper appeals to both government and employees to endeavour as much as possible to avoid strikes which only derail achievements made.

The Ghanaian Times applauds government for giving clearance for the recruitment of extension officers. The paper says the decision is long overdue. This is because agricultural experts noticed the shortage of such officers and have been calling on government to employ more of them. The Times believes the recruitment of these officers will boost agricultural extension service delivery in the country. The Paper, therefore, urges government to be consistent in the future recruitment of such officers not only for the benefit of farmers but also for the steady growth of the agricultural sector.
