The Ghanaian Times is appalled by what has been described as saboteur activities in the vandalisation of transmission pylons to pilfer bolts and nuts. The paper urges GRIDCO to take steps to protect its transmission pylons and other national assets. It also calls on the law enforcement authorities to evict all persons who have made abodes around and along pylons to save the country from any future mishap.

The Daily Graphic says managing plastics in Ghana has become a hydra-headed problem. The paper is therefore urging the government to establish a National Environment Fund to help curb the plastic waste menace. It however commends the government for playing the leading role so far in resolving the plastic menace, but advocates the need to fast track the processes to ensure that a National Plastics Management Policy become operational.
