The Daily Graphic expresses concern about the reopening of schools for final year students of Junior, Senior High and tertiary levels as far as safety in this COVID-19 era. The paper commends government for its efforts at providing Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, to various schools for distribution to students. The paper acknowledges fears and anxieties of parents and guardians over the safety of their children as they leave their houses for school. It urges the parents to be more positive and rather channel their concerns through supporting government by contributing PPEs to the schools. It says the safety of the students in this COVID-19 era must be a collective concern to all including parents, school authorities and the public.
The Ghanaian Times cautions the public who turn up at the Voters Registration Centres to respect the COVID-19 protocols which include social distancing and wearing of face masks. The paper describes people who flout these rules as troublemakers saying there is the need for them to desist from it as such behaviors undermine the registration exercise.
