The Daily Graphic is of the view that despite indications of broad public support, there is the need to intensify mass education and awareness creation among Ghanaian voters on the essence of coming out in their numbers to vote massively to ensure the amendment of the Article to allow multi-party participation in District Level Elections. The paper notes that the planned referendum in December is a step towards the actualisation of the desire of Ghanaians to see the devolution of power to the people and guarantee the security of tenure for MMDCEs once they are elected just like Member of Parliament (MPs).
