The Ghanaian Times adds it voice to calls by the Minister for Information designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, for journalists to be paid well to prevent them from falling prey to temptations as they go about their duties. The Times is of the view that if all Ghanaian media houses and managers ensure that journalists are adequately catered for and also insured against risk that may befall them in the course of performing their duties, they can give off their best. The paper says the call by the Minister designate should not fall on deaf ears, but should be embraced by all and made workable in the interest of journalists in the country.

The Daily Graphic calls on the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service to train more personnel and provide adequate facilities to deal with the growing threat of stroke in the country. The paper says the development of the country rests on the health of the people and counsels the citizens to eat healthy and embark on other activities that will control hypertension, which has been identified as a precursor to the disease. The Graphic therefore advises people to seek immediate treatment in hospital whenever they see signs of stroke.
