The Daily Graphic adds its voice to calls for support for the private sector as they struggle to recovery due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses face new customer expectations and operational challenges because of health and safety restrictions. The paper says the pandemic has caused considerable disruption to the economy and it will take a well-coordinated and comprehensive plan of action to spur immediate recovery and sustain growth over the long-term. It says the country’s natural resources should be leveraged optimally to support this cause and calls on Ghanaians to change their taste or preference for foreign goods and consume made in Ghana goods.

The Ghanaian Times commends the ministry of Agriculture and the Minister for the significant development in the sector, thus putting Ghana on the path of food sufficiency and the country fast becoming the West African food basket. The paper makes reference to the Ministers speech at the 7th edition of the National Building Update in Accra where he said the national production of maize had increased significantly.
