THE DAILY GRAPHIC: Welcomes the decision by the  President, Nana Addo Dankwa  to set up a Commission of Inquiry into  the violence at Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections  to book. The paper is  worried about  the trend of violence that has persisted during such elections since 1992. The Graphic therefore urges the four member commission led by Justice Emile Short  to make a full, faithful and impartial inquiry to establish the facts leading to the events and associated violence during the  by-elections. The Paper encourages all who may be called before the commission  to cooperate fully to enable it to submit its report within one month.
THE GHANAIAN TIMES: Commends  steps taken so far by the EC and the inter Party Advisory Committee in the implementation of ROPAA. The paper however notes that the implementation would come with challenges that must be dealt with  for all eligible Ghanaian voters to exercise their civic rights in future elections. The paper notes that through  determination and commitment on the part of  stakeholders including government, ROPAA, can be implemented perhaps in phases. The Times  commends the EC for starting the process for Ghanaians living abroad to vote. It  however notes that  the challenges are enormous and therefore  the need  to start a public discourse on how the process would be implemented without hindrance.
