The ‘Daily Graphic’ and the ‘Ghanaian Times’ write on illegal mining and condemn all those who have through deliberate activities, actions or inactions contributed to the mess Ghana finds itself in.
The Graphic is saddened that with all that have been put into fighting illegal mining, the menace still lingers on. The Graphic urges government not to be discouraged and asks that Operation Vanguard should not rest on its laurels but go all out to put a stop to the menace.
The Times on the other hand says though it is sad that the menace still persists, there is every hope that a lot of lessons have been learnt from the previous attempts to address the problem and that, the current strategy will not fail.
