The Ghanaian Times expresses the need for robust systems to contain COVID-19 cases in schools. The paper says it is understandable that parents are agitated about the situation and concerned about their wards as there is still no cure for the virus that has claimed lives. The Times agrees with Dr. Yaw Bediako, an immunologist who believes there is the need to stay highly vigilant so that the virus can be controlled rather than worrying over the number of cases because academic work is equally important. The paper believes conducting routine and random surveillance in schools is a way forward in the effort to help curb the spread. It therefore urges the Ghana Health Service, Ministry of Education and Ghana Education Service to be proactive and provide regular updates on the COVID-19 cases in schools to help ease anxiety among parents.

The Daily Graphic expresses displeasure about the poor cocoa consumption in the country. It says, despite Ghana being the second leading producer of cocoa, its consumption nationally is low. The paper says even though government has shown interest in creating awareness to encourage the consumption of cocoa products, majority of Ghanaians have played a role in the low purchase since they see cocoa products like chocolate as luxury and cannot afford to buy. The paper praises the Ghana Cocoa Board for its effort in promoting the consumption of cocoa products and urged them to make it affordable and available to everyone. The Graphic therefore urges government to keep encouraging Ghanaians to purchase cocoa products and to include their consumption as part of the national agenda to help boost the economy and provide more jobs.
