Gospel musician Celestine Donkor says she had a scholarship from a former Ghanaian boxer, Azumah Nelson to further her Secondary High School.

According to her, she was the best student in her Junior High School with an aggregate score of nine, and she was admitted to her first choice school, but her parents wouldn’t cater for her school’s provisions. And she found herself in another school where she felt she was a “dump”.

When they finally did, she was not given the earlier program she wanted to do. She disclosed that she later met her school mother at the school she didn’t want, but she connected her to a church to sing, and she met Azuma Nelson, who gave her a scholarship.

“That was how I met my school mother in that school I did not want. She connected me to a church to sing, and I met Azumah Nelson, who gave me a scholarship.”

She made this known on the GTV Breakfast Show on the back of controversies and issues surrounding the 2023 SHS school placement, which a lot of parents are not happy about and want their children’s schools to be changed to the school of their choice.

She added that God has a plan for each and every one; therefore, they should stay calm and pray, for God has a plan for them in this moment of their lives.
