Everyone in this world has someone they always look up to in terms of career development and life choices. Shatta Wale is no different from such people, as he has openly stated that the legendary musician Michael Jackson was always his role model. He made this known during an interview with Kafui Dey on GTV’s Breakfast Show.

Michael Jackson was an American singer, song writer, dancer and philanthropist who was known as the “king of pop” and was loved by millions of people worldwide, including Ghana’s dance hall king, Shatta Wale. According to him, “when I heard about his death, it really affected me because Michael Jackson was someone I looked up to when I was growing up, and anytime I watched his performances, I saw how people collapsed just hearing his voice.”.

In addition, he said, “I know sometimes people will say they act out and forge the things we see happening on television when Michael is performing, but I felt he was a spirit, and that’s the same way I see Vybez Kartel in the Dancehall world. I see Vybez Kartel like Michael Jackson.”

“Sometimes we have these kinds of people in the world which you can never understand them until they are dead.”
