Ghana Models Awards Juniors 2023 held in Accra

Awards

The second edition of the Ghana Models Awards Juniors has taken place at the Ghana International School, Accra. This award is organised to reward the hard work of young and talented models and to motivate children to pursue modelling as a career.

In an interview with the media, the Founder of the awards, Jerry Wonders Sampson, said parents have the responsibility to discover the talents of their kids and help them in the journey of using those talents. He added that parents should encourage their kids to participate in activities that can bring out their talents and shape them as well. This, he said, will help the child fulfil their purpose in life.

Jerry Wonders debunked the notion that modelling is negative and promotes nudity. He explained that the craft is of many types and depends on one’s principles and the agencies they sign with.

He used the opportunity to call on sponsors to come on board and support the kids. He also urged parents to send their words so that Ghana can have homegrown models.

Samuel White Foundation, a strong advocate for road safety, was at the event to support the programme. The founder and president, Samuel White, said in his interaction with the media that the program is a very good one. He posited that these kids will take over the country in the future, so it is in the right direction to groom them in the right way, especially through a program.

He added that his foundation is proud to be associated with a project like this. He used the occasion to educate the models on road safety in Ghana.

The Best Female Model awardee, Blessing, expressed her excitement for winning the award. She attributed her success to her mother’s encouragement and motivation. She expressed her appreciation to the people who supported her on this journey.

Some of the parents of the modellers were there to support their kids. The father of the female commercial of the year, Sampson Micah, could not hide his joy at having his kid take part in the program.

He advised parents to do their best to support their kids in unearthing their talents.
