Nigerian musician and entrepreneur, Mr. Eazi has promised to provide the Ghana Tourism Authority a sum of $2M to establish a proper venue for events in Accra.
He is offering to build a state-of-the-art event center in Accra, complete with indoor and outdoor venues, if the authority is willing to provide the land.
“I want to tell Ghana Tourism that we need proper venues for events in Accra. I also want to tell them that I need land for an outdoor and an indoor venue. Ghana Tourism, if you think I am joking, I will drop the first $2 million,” Mr Eazi mentioned on stage.
Speaking to the crowd at Detty Rave in Accra on December 27, 2025, Mr Eazi added that he is envisioning a rave park and a 3,000-capacity indoor venue that’ll give Ghana’s entertainment scene a major boost.
The 2025 event took place at Untamed Empire featuring African dance music artists including Spinall, Chichi DJ, Ciza and Mr Eazi himself.
This move comes as Detty Rave, which Mr Eazi launched in 2017, continues to draw massive crowds – up to 25,000 people – and drive economic activity during Ghana’s festive season. The lack of suitable event spaces has long been a challenge, and Mr Eazi’s proposal aims to fill that gap.
The musician’s call to Ghana Tourism Authority represents a direct appeal to government agencies responsible for supporting the country’s growing entertainment and tourism sectors. Whether officials will respond with land allocation remains to be seen, but the public pledge puts pressure on authorities to facilitate such investments.
