Ghanaian Highlife Artiste Ben Brako says music is very crucial to his life because music breaks a lot of barriers and touches people in ways that people do not understand.

He said this during a sit-down conversation on the Yellow Couch, #Gtvbreakfast.

Bernard George Kobena Brako, (real name) rose to prominence in the mid- to late 1980s, with the release of his first solo studio album, Baya, which he also produced and wrote, in 1987.

He added that music is a spiritual thing that touches so many hearts immediately it is heard and has always been the centerpiece in his life.

Expressing his thoughts on how Ghanaian Musicians are responding to the Covid-19 pandemic, Ben Brako stated that he is happy with how some Musicians like Kofi Kinaata respond to social issues because some part of music is to reflect the society to people so that they can also respond appropriately.

Speaking on the good things Christianity has brought, he said, ”Christianity only taught us to go against ourselves which is horrible”.

He advised Musicians to be each other’s keeper in the industry.
