Raising Ghanaian gospel musician Frimpomaa, has unveiled her highly anticipated debut album “Forever King”. The album, born out of her deep faith and prayer, promises to bless listeners with its rich and soul-stirring melodies.
In a recent interview, Frimpomaa who doubles as a nurse shared the inspiration behind her album, stating, “All of my songs have basically come out of my prayers, I pray, and before I know it, I hear a tune to the prayers, and then I just pick up my phone and record it.”
This unique approach to songwriting has resulted in a collection of songs that are both personal and universally relatable.
Frimpomaa’s music is a reflection of her personal experiences, faith, and the Word of God. “I think story of my life is something that everybody can relate to, We’ve all got a story, we’ve come from somewhere, we are somewhere, and we are aiming to go somewhere,”she said.
The album’s production process involved Frimpomaa recording song ideas on her phone and sending them to engineers in the UK to work on. She highlighted the importance of collaboration but stated that her time constraints made it challenging to work closely with others.
When asked about standout trackson the Album, Frimpomaa recommended listening to the first three songs: “Jehovah,” “Heavenly,” and “You Lord Be Praised.” “I think those first three songs are quieter and give you the opportunity to reflect,” she explained.
Frimpomaa’s ultimate goal with “Forever King” is to point listeners to Jesus. “I want the album to point them to Jesus,” she emphasized.
With her powerful vocals and inspiring lyrics, Frimpomaa is poised to make a significant impact in the gospel music scene. As she said, “I has taken everything, but I believe it’s worth it. If God holds you, then he knows what he’s doing.”
