Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has won two major awards at the 43rd International Reggae and World Music Awards held in Florida, USA, further cementing his place on the global music stage.
In a statement released by his management on May 18, 2026, the award-winning musician was named Best African Dancehall Entertainer and also picked up the Concert of the Year award for his popular event, ShattaFest.
The management expressed appreciation to the organizers of the awards for recognizing African talent and promoting the continent’s music internationally.
They also thanked fans across the world, especially members of the Shatta Movement, for their continued support, votes, and loyalty over the years.
According to the statement, the double win highlights Shatta Wale’s influence as one of Africa’s top musical exports and a key figure in the global dancehall scene.
