Vigil for Daddy Lumba set for August 2; Condolence book opens today

A national candlelight vigil will be held to honour the life and legacy of the late highlife icon, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba. The event, organized by the Creative Arts Agency, will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra, starting at 6:00 p.m.

As part of the memorial arrangements, the Fosu family will also open a Book of Condolence at Daddy Lumba’s private residence, located at House No. 12, Kinshasha Crescent, Accra (GA-332-9264).

The book will be available for the public to sign from Tuesday, July 29, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Fans, friends, and the general public are encouraged to attend and pay their respects to one of Ghana’s most beloved musical legends.
