A pressure group, Alliance for Social Equity and Accountability (ASEPA), has called for the impeachment of the Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo, for failing to comply with the orders of an African court ruling in the matter between Alfred Woyome and Ghana.
They also want President Akufo-Addo to remove the Attorney-General Gloria Akuffo and her deputy from office.
Speaking to GBC’s Ibrahim Kwarteng on news and current affairs programmen ‘Behind The News’ on Uniiq FM, the Executive Director, Mensah Thompson said the African Court has reported Ghana to the African Union, adding that this has a diplomatic implication for the country, because Ghana is considered an epitome of democracy on the continent.
Mr. Thompson said Ghana may be reprimanded because of the violation.
