The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has called on parents to see teachers as allies in the development of children. He said it is important for parents to on a day to day basis, show interest in monitoring the progress of their wards in school and in how teachers deliver instructions to sharpen the future of the child.

Speaking at the 2018 Ghana Teachers Awards ceremony today (October 5), Dr. Bawumia admitted that the teaching profession is challenging and teachers need to be empowered by partners in education especially parents.
