Eliminating filth in the capital, Accra, has always been a major challenge for city authorities. Introduction of bye-laws on sanitation, stiffer punishment for offenders and the national sanitation day has done little to clear the city of filth. However, the establishment of sanitation court to prosecute offenders appears to be working. At least it is making an impact in the La Dade Kotopon Municipality.
