Road crashes, how is it affecting the economy?

At the peak of the Covid-19 restrictions in parts of the country, little was heard about it. For instance, figures from the National Road Safety Authority show that between January and May this year, there was a 14 percent reduction in fatalities as against the same period last year. Just as one expects the feat to be maintained, the trend has unfortunately spiked once more, with men being the most vulnerable.  What is the country just not doing right, a reason effort at road safety are not yielding much? How can accidents be reduced if not eliminated in its entirety? Rachel Kakraba in this special report on road crashes on Ghanaian roads seeks answers.
