Call for dialogue among players in Media to end assaults on Journalists

The Media Foundation for West Africa has condemned the recent arrest and alleged assault of two Accra-based CITI FM/ TV Journalists on Tuesday, May 11.

Speaking to GBC News, the Organization’s Programme Officer for freedom of Expression, Muheeb Saeed said, there should be a dialogue among players in the Media sector to bring an end to assaults on Journalists in their line of duty.

He suggested that the security services adopt a policy of zero-tolerance for attacks on journalists.
