Radio Ghana was among fifty-three individuals and organizations honoured last night by the Catholic Standard newspaper at its 80th anniversary awards ceremony in Accra.

The immediate past Chairman of the National Media Commission, Nana Kwesi Gyan-Appenteng, recalled the gallant role played by the Catholic Standard in the 1970’s during the heady days of the Acheampong regime saying the newspaper was the must read and model of journalism at the time.
