The various courts in Accra are actively sitting after Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana ( JUSAG) called of its strike.

JUSAG on Wednesday decided to embark on strike in demand of salary review upwards but by the close of day Thursday, it was called off because the Acting Chief Justice Jones Dotse and some other top officials of the judiciary met JUSAG and promised to work on their demands.

During the strike, many who had come to use the courts were left stranded. The courts were not even opened for them but Friday, users of the court have been allowed free access into the court rooms.

GBC’s court correspondent, Yvonne Asare Offei, confirms that work has returned to normal.

Some court users shared their views with GBC’s Radio Ghana saying “it’s a good thing for them to have returned to work”.
