Fire guts Akwatia supermarket

Fire last night, razed a supermarket at Akwatia in the Denkyem-buor District of the Eastern region, destroying goods running into millions of cedis.
The fire according to residents started with a thick smoke billowing from the shop.
Some items destroyed include assorted cooking oil, biscuits, drinks, milk, chocolates, rice, canned and powdered products
Eye witnesses say the fire ravaged the whole supermarket before fire fighters from Kade and Asamankese arrived at the scene.
The cause of the fire is however, unknown.
