The National Para Athletics Association successfully staged Zone 2 of the National Talent Identification Programme in Koforidua on Saturday, August 16, where para athletes proudly showcased their abilities.
The majority of participants took part in wheelchair racing, led by renowned national para athlete Raphael Botsyo Nkegbe.
Across the events, athletes demonstrated remarkable stamina, endurance and agility, turning the programme into a vibrant showcase of para sporting potential.
The scouting exercise concluded on a high note with the discovery of several promising athletes expected to play key roles in future national competitions.
Building on successful outings in Kumasi, Cape Coast and Koforidua, the talent identification drive now heads to Ho in the Volta Region on August 30.
The upcoming programme will feature multiple track and field disciplines, including shot put, discus, javelin, wheelchair racing, the 100m and 800m races.
