Govt committed to building fully integrated aluminum industry – Abu Jinapor

The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor says government is committed to building a fully integrated aluminum industry to transform the local economy and create jobs.

Addressing workers of Ghana Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC) during a working visit, Mr Jinapor said the Ministry will work closely with GIADEC to drive government’s Industrial Transformation Agenda.

He said his goal is to provide the needed ministerial support to GIADEC for purposes of realizing the vision of President Akufo-Addo to build an integrated aluminum industry in Ghana.

The Chief Executive of GIADEC, Michael Ansah, who welcomed the sector Minister and his team, disclosed that GIADEC has made considerable progress in selecting strategic investors as partners for the development of an integrated aluminum industry, and is currently working on other downstream industries.
