The India High Commission in Ghana will host the 11th edition of the International Day of Yoga on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Osu Castle in Accra. The event is scheduled to begin promptly at 4:00 p.m.

This year’s celebration is themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, highlighting the role of yoga in promoting both individual well-being and environmental sustainability.

Participants will benefit from guided yoga sessions led by experienced instructors, as well as access to healthy snacks and refreshments. A limited number of complimentary yoga mats will be provided; however, attendees are encouraged to bring their own mats.

The event is open to the general public and is expected to attract individuals from diverse backgrounds, including yoga enthusiasts, health advocates, and members of the diplomatic and local communities.

Since its adoption by the United Nations in 2014, the International Day of Yoga has been observed annually on June 21 to raise awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.

The India High Commission has been instrumental in promoting the celebration in Ghana over the past decade.

According to organizers, the event will serve as a platform to foster peace, unity, and a healthier lifestyle among Ghanaians, while strengthening cultural ties between Ghana and India.
